Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

HomeThis is a featured page

I have some disjointed files right now. Below is a basic section I wrote in a few minutes to send to Rob as an example. Since he liked it, I'm going to keep it and add to it. I still a gear list to upload, and still need to write the part on snow and slush conditions. Feel free to suggest or add additional topics, I have a checklist of items to cover I will upload later. Remember, this is going to be a document going out to the homeless community, with the goal of helping them survive better, and even comfortably. I will also cover car camping... at any rate this will evolve into a cohrent document soon enough. I am going to steal some stuff from a US Army survival field manual. This will be cited as such. Military field manuals are public domain. Please leave a note with any changes or additions you make.

Have added "basics" and "gear" sections.

ok, other than getting to key west you have to keep up with the basics. Will address each in order. I am righting this with the assumption that you are willing to take on the occasional day job, and not just walk around in a drunken stuper begging for change. ok, with that said lets start with food you should have a little change in your pocket so you could always go by a local store and get something cheap like a can of tuna and crackers at a place like k-mart (2928 N. Roosevelt Blvd Ph# 305-293-9211) or Dollar Tree (1120 N. Roosevelt Blvd. KW FL Ph# 305-296-6138). I mean, if you spend your last dollar on a beer verses something to eat you need to check out the local AA chapter 305-296-8654 meeting daily. With that said Lets move on. St. Mary's Soup Kitchen servers meals daily Mon-Sat @ 4:00 pm. Also, the Metropolitan Community Church 1215 Petronia St. KW. FL hands out bag lunches to the homeless Mon-Wed 10am-12pm. They also deliver hot meal to homebound and elderly on Saturdays, so you may be able to go by the church and scam a meal off of them there. If you can't make it by these places, then you could always go dumpster diving, just stay from the green meet. LOL!
